Hello, again

Yes, I am still alive.
Yes, I have been creating and quilting.
Yes, I have pixs to prove it. I just need to get with the program and post.

NY Resolutions. I no longer make them. I don't even feel the need to think about it. I think once I realized that every year they were a version of the previous year... forget it.

Loose weight, make time to be creative, be nicer, more aware, blah, blah, blah.
All good. All needed. but after five years of the same-o-same-o.

No thanks.

I am currently working on a rectangle quilt based off of one in the MODERN Quilt book by Weeks. The only thing similar is the size of the large rectanges. I am changing up sizes, per row, and possibly throwing in other elements. I am making mine out of asian prints.

Mulling around the idea of an ALL PINK quilt for the BH&G Think Pink Breast Cancer awareness quilt off. Not sharing the details yet. But I will need LOTS of pinks, the whooooollle range of palest of pales, to deep, deep, magenta.

I still need to complete my Go Dotty quilt. I about have all the curves pieced into their backgrounds... then I will get to work on the borders and sashing. That should go pretty fast. I was all excited and moving forward this weekend... until I recounted my blocks an discovered I was two short on the paperpieced curves.

Damn.

When the dotty quilt and the asian quilts are complete... I already have plans idea for the scraps!
The current issue of Quiltmaker, has two quilts I love in it. One is a paperpieced star. It too can be made by you.... it only takes 900 strips of 1.5" fabric!! The other is "Mad Dog" which I think will be fun mixed with my dots and novelty prints.

Truly, too many quilts and too little time.

By then, it will be time to rethink the yard and landscape. YEAH!
Our unseasonably warm (70+) January is making me ready to get out and dig something up... or transplant... or something.

OK.
Will attempt to post pixs later.
HAPPY, HEALTHY 2006 to all.
