Australian Homespun

This is what I am taking along on our trip to Maine. I plan to get some embroidery done... But instead of pinks and reds, I am going a little more earthy with blues and browns. It is a Christmas quilt... but I think with my color scheme, a little less obvious.

This pattern was for a wall hanging. I increased the measurements by 1/2 making it a perfect throw size. Very happy with the results. The pattern is by Maple Island, named "Frames." The one thing I would change if I made it again, would be the small inner border (shown in red) I would not increase the width, I would leave it at 1.5 inches, I think it is just a bit too much in this piece.
